Sandy Ruyack

President

Sandy has over 30 years’ experience in the direct marketing field with over 20 of

those years in direct response fundraising. She is skilled in every aspect of nonprofit strategy providing direction and management for renewal, acquisition, annual fund, planned giving, high dollar, new donor, monthly donor, and acknowledgment programs. She is well versed in lapsed reactivation, as well as testing and segmentation strategies for both direct mail and e‐marketing efforts.

A highly regarded copywriter, she writes compelling copy to bring in much needed donations for a variety of clients through newsletters, direct mail packages, and email appeals. She also provides copy for annual reports and organizational communications.

 

Sandy regularly attends copywriting classes and attends a diverse array of fundraising and direct mail conferences allowing her to stay current in direct mail and email marketing techniques as well as fundraising trends. She has also served on the board of the Direct Marketing Fundraisers Association.

 

An avid travel blogger, her blog, Boulevardsandbyways.com, has caught the attention of a variety of resorts and tour agencies with whom she assists with social media campaigns and provides blog posts to increase their visibility.

 

As the President of Write Choice Marketing, Vice President of VK Direct, Inc. for

eleven years, and the Associate Director at the March of Dimes for over nine years; she has managed multi‐million‐dollar acquisition programs, oversaw the creative for hundreds of direct mail packages, and managed accounts with direct mail revenue of $11.3 million and budgets of $4.3 million successfully achieving annual revenue goals.

Meryl Randman

Designer and Production Director

Meryl spent many years at Time Inc., when its bustling in‐house ad agency provided direct response services for some of the country’s most iconic brands. She draws from that rich experience her results‐oriented approach, as well as her ability to understand each client’s pain point and resolve issues before they even occur. She is a detail oriented production manager and talented graphic designer who understands strategy and is skilled at determining the most cost‐effective way to design and produce a direct mail package or email appeal. She is accomplished at managing the elements of a mailing from design through production and entry into the mail stream in order to meet quality and mail date objectives while minimizing costs.

 

Priscilla Whitley

Copy editor

– Priscilla uses her extensive fundraising and nonprofit public relations experience to provide editing and proofreading support. For eight years she was employed by The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum in Ridgefield, CT

in their communications department, providing content for newsletters, membership affairs, donor appeals, website, and local press releases. She has also worked with the non‐profit, The Garden of Ideas in Ridgefield, CT in the same capacity. She is currently a feature writer for The Record‐Review in Katonah, New York and has been an ongoing contributing feature writer for Hersam/Acorn Press. Priscilla has worked at Simon and Schuster Publishing, Kampmann & Co, now Mid‐Point Trade Books, and Beaufort Books in New York.
